Ummm...its cold here so this really has only been done a couple times. Praise God we found our dog. She was across the street in their backyard the whole time.

Recycle more and throw away less-

Done as of 01/06/2009 I will try and post pictures of our new system next month....

-Replace all plastic utensils with wood or stainless steel-

Done as of 01/12/2009

-Remove all plastic glassware from cabinets minus sippy cups

Done as of 02/11/2009

Some of the plastic cups that were removed.

One of our cabinets now. The plastics that I will keep are our Bento boxes, baby bowels, produce savers, and small storage containers.

As you can see all the plastic stuff left is the baby cups, food processor, and a veggie bento (bottom shelf, right).

Monthly Check-Up

Its that time...well really its past that time, to check in. This post is a little late, but we've had a lot going on here in the past week.
So here we go:

$1,000 emergency savings fund

-Fully funded as of 01/21/2009-

3 months emergency savings fund

Pay Off the Van!

Serve at least 2 vegetables with dinner every night
-This is a working progress. We eat lots of veggies here but there are nights when we just eat pizza, or the like and veggies aren't served. I have noticed that no matter how many veggies I serve they are always gone at the end of the meal. ;)

Walk to the dog for 15 minutes at least 4 times a week
-Our dog got out of the backyard and is missing right now. Keep her in your prayers. We are hoping she returns soon.

Recycle more and throw away less
-This goal has really blown me away. I have completely changed the way we throw away trash and am glad to say we are throwing away less, a lot less! More to come on this next month-

Replace all plastic utensils with wood or stainless steel
-Still working on this goal, it isn't complete yet-

Replace all cookware with cast iron or stainless steel
-Goal accomplished as of 01/12/2009-

Remove all plastic glassware from cabinets minus sippy cups
-Still working on this one too-
