Our new home...

While we haven't moved yet, I did run by to check up on things and take some pictures. The house still needs to be cleaned and the floors are to be re-done.

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 full baths. There is also a laundry room down stairs and a half bath.

We are MOVING!

A lot has been going on in our house this week. We found out we had 30 days to find a new home. So off searching it was. We have now found a much larger home that will suite our needs with our growing family....now I have lots to pack! We will be out of this house and into our new one by the end of the month. Please keep us in your prayers and we make this move.

Just for FUN...

This picture was taken Mother's Day when our church decided to throw us a surprise baby shower. I ended up having him 5 days later. In the end I ended up gaining 70lbs. = /




Now the little guy is 6 weeks today. Boy, does time fly. He is sleeping well and almost through the night. He wakes up around 2 to eat and then sleeps until we get up at 5:30. He is a pleasure to have. Hardly ever cries and only when he is hungry...which is often. ;)

The Candida Diet

I have started my journey on the Candida Diet. If you have ever suffered from chronic yeast infections or are feeling fatigued and just not yourself, this may just help you out.
Since my son was a week old I have had a yeast infection on my breast....it isn't pleasant to feed him or pump. I have taken a month of Rx meds. with no result of it getting any better.
I am following the http://www.wholeapproach.com/ diet. Go here to take the assessment questionnaire to see if you might have a candida overgrowth. It effects most of the American population and many don't even know it.

I will be trying to post any new recipes I come up with while on this diet. I have a "severe" case and will be on the diet for at least 7 months. :( Good news is that I should be feeling like a totally different person once I am finished.

We are in the process of taking out all processed food from our home. And I plan on only making "sweet treats" occasionally instead of it being part of our regular diet. There are going to be a lot of changes in our household this year.

Why???

Why is it that you have to teach a child to sit still, but running to the nearest puddle of water and splashing comes natural? Without shoes on and in your socks?

My Bosch...

For my birthday my wonderful husband bought me a Bosch mixer that I have been wanting for so long. I set it up the day it came and used Crystal's recipe for bread and chocolate rolls. Both turned out wonderful! It only took about a hour from start to finish and that includes clean-up.

Yes, some of the chocolate rolls are missing...I promise I only ate 2. We have since used the Bosch to make more bread, rolls, and smoothies....lots of smoothies. I love the mixer and it is by far one of the best gifts someone has ever bought me.

I'm BACK!

Well, everything is starting to settle down here. We are getting on some kind of routine now...finally. Breastfeeding still isn't going as well as I would have hoped for, but we are working to fix that. Levi is a "big boy" now and is over 10 and 1/2 pounds, and 4 weeks old.
